The iron and steel industry

One of the most complex economic sectors in the world that is inherently linked to many industries and economics is the iron and steel industry. Today, in almost all industries such as automotive, construction and many other manufacturing industries, iron and steel, or in general, metal industries are very important.

The bulk of the world’s raw materials, such as iron ore, coal and scrap, and even a large part of the world’s energy source, are consumed by the steel industry, while there is no doubt that one of the major industries that contributes to the emission of pollutants in the environment around the main role Is the steel industry, which, along with some other industries, always enters enormous amounts of environmental pollutants, pollutants such as dust, aromatic polycyclic hydrocarbons, organic and inorganic compounds from arc furnaces, metals Heavy, sulfur dioxide, hydraulic acid, dust and sewage from explosion and primary oxygen furnace, alloys Sustainable Organic Fertilizer from electric arc furnaces, Hydrofluoric Acid, Pellet Sewage, or Filter Dusts, Slag Dust, etc. (European Commission, 2011).

Interestingly, many steel factories or major steel consumers are far from having the raw materials they need, which is why there is a lot of bargaining for the purchase of international raw materials and subsequent sale of steel products in the world and among all countries is in processing.

Major steel trade and steel products or raw materials required for steel industry are transported by sea vessels. Major raw materials for the steel industry are produced in coal or ore-rich countries such as South America, Oceania and Africa, and the major consumers of these raw materials, or so-called easier steel major producers in advanced European countries, North America or the Far East countries.

These raw materials are shipped by ships of different countries of transit and from there by rail transport or domestic drainage and subsequently carried by truck to consumer factories and semi-finished products or finished products These factories are moving in the opposite direction. This has led to a significant impact on supply and demand patterns, and the prices are much higher.
